November 10 th

Every year 10 th of November is the anniversary of our great leader Mustafa Kemal ATATURK's death.He was the founder of Turkish Republic.He was the head commander of Turkish Army.He was the man who made Turkish people gain the victory and independence.We remember him with respect and longing.Today in Turkey all flags are brought down to the half and ceremonies at all governmental offices are held.

Turkey- 29 th October-Independence Day

Every year October 29 is a very important date for Turkish people,because we celebrate our independence and it is the day Turkish Republic was founded...we celebrate this vital day with ceremonies,songs,poems,dramas and dances..

About Lom

My name is Andrei and I’m writing from Lom. My city is small, but it is cool. It’s on a Danube river. My city has a long history. It was built by the Thracians. Its 1st name was Artanes, the Romans later named it Almus and now our city name is Lom. The city is home to the 1st community center in Bulgaria. In the town we have a beer factory. Its name is Almus! Our mayor’s name is Penka Penkova. I think you would like in Lom.
